We have our Coach, now we need players!

The process for creating a Tier 1 team requires that Associations hold a minimum of 4 practices and/or skills sessions prior to formal player evaluation. These are more commonly referred to as PRE-SKATES and will be scheduled as follows:

September 4 6:15pm Countryside Arena Pad 2
September 5 5:30pm Countryside Arena Pad 1
September 7 6:00pm Cambrian Arena
September 8 8:00am Lively Arena

Player evaluation and selection must include a minimum of three formal sessions. The recommendation is one skills session, one small-area games session, and 1 half-ice game. EVALUATIONS will be scheduled as follows:

September 11 5:00pm Lively Arena
September 13 6:00pm Sudbury Arena
September 14 6:00pm Sudbury Arena
September 15 4:30pm Sudbury Arena

A fee of $20 will be collected at each of these ice times.

RBMHA is excited to announce the Coach of the U9 Tier 1 team for the 2024/2025 Season – Andre Pilon

Andre was born and raised in Chelmsford, grew up playing REP hockey in Rayside, and is now raising his family here. All of this makes him especially proud to have been the one chosen to bring it back to the community.

He is dedicated to the development of young hockey players and has the experience necessary to support them in learning the basic skills, building their confidence, and fostering their love for the game.
Andre believes in teamwork and recognizes the value of each member, from the bench staff to the players. He will strive to keep hockey fun and to set the program up for success in the future.

Andre has been coaching in Rayside for 6 seasons now and spent time on the RBMHA Board of Directors as the U7 commissioner.

Please join us in congratulating Andre and wishing him the best of luck in this exciting new adventure.

Dear RBMHA Parents,

First of all, I would like to introduce myself, my name is Julie Dubois, and I will be the new President of RBMHA this upcoming season. I have been part of this board for over 10 years, and held many titles throughout that time, which I believe has prepared me for this next step as president. I have 2 boys currently in the association and 2 older children who have finished, so I have been in RBMHA as a parent for over 18 years.

As we get ready for the upcoming season, my main goals are:

1. Player Development: Helping our players improve their skills by having development clinics throughout the year.

2. Coaching Support: Ensuring our coaches have access to the resources they need and making sure they have the necessary qualifications.

3. Community Engagement: Strengthening our sense of community by including local-owned businesses whenever feasible.

4. Safety: Maintaining a safe environment for everyone who is involved with Rayside Balfour Minor Hockey.

5. Communication: Keeping you informed on what is going on throughout the season with NOHA and RBMHA.

I believe that with your support, we can achieve great things for our players. I look forward to meeting you and working together to make this season fantastic. I want to thank the 18 board members for their continued support and hard work; they are what make the association flow so well.

Thank you for your support

Best Regards,
Julie Dubois
