I would like to thank all players, coaches, and volunteers for another successful season. The challenging work and dedication from all of you is appreciated and is key to a successful season. It was a long one with few difficulties, but at least we made it through and everyone who participated ended up playing a full season of hockey uninterrupted. We hosted a very successful tournament and jamboree with the help of many volunteers.

We are actively seeking a U7 Co-Ordinator for next seasons; nominations can happen at this meeting so if you are interested, please let us know when we call for nominations.

We will be hosting our Annual General Meeting on Tuesday May 2nd, 2023, 7:00pm at the Edgar Leclair Community Centre. Parents, coaches, and volunteers please plan to attend.

Thanks to all that attended our Annual General Meeting. It went well and we have added a significant amount of new board members to help us out for next season. We appreciate all who decided to step up and help, and hope to see all members back this fall.

Congratulations to Diane Girard-Ryan for being the first ever recipient of the “Bobby Fleming Memorial Volunteer of the Year” award. She had two rolls this year with RBMHA as Ice Convenor and U7 Co-Ordinator, and has been a board member for a great many of years. We appreciate all the hard work and dedication to helping with another successful season.

Congratulations to Tim Bertrand for being this years recipient for “Coach of the Year”. Tim was head coach for the U11 Tigercats this year and has been helping with RBMHA teams for a few years now. We appreciate the work he did this year to create a fun and rewarding year for all the kids involved, as well as being a volunteer in all of his prior years with our association. We hope to see Tim back on the bench this fall.

It was a long one with a few ups and downs surrounding the pandemic, but we made it through and everyone who participated ended up playing a full season of hockey. We were lucky to host our home tournament and jamboree in between the shutdowns, with the whole prior season of playing no tournaments this was a welcome change for all involved. Looking forward to next season, hopefully we will get through it with no interruptions. Hopefully we see you all returning in the fall.
